People ask me how I got started doing fairs and festivals.  My first festival was the Ohio Apple Cider festival just north of Lebanon OH in 1994..  Note the homemade sawhorses and homemade table top.  Also note the price.  We started with a Hatsuyuki H500E Block Shaver.  We even made money!

This is my son Brian in the Reds cap and my financial consultant who worked for Paine Webber.  He didn't last long!

This was our initial attempt in the shave ice business.  We started a store front in Lebanon OH in 1992.  Yep this is our 15th year in the business.  We were really successful in this venture,  however  paying rent for 12 months and only 6 months of summer didn't quite cut it. It gets cold in OHIO!  We either had to open the entire year and flip  Hamburgers or find another way.

These were our first customers!!   Our first ever sales!!

These were taken at a little gig in my home town of Lebanon OH called 1st Annual Pickin' in the Park.  Didn't make much money but it was my Grandson's Birthday and the whole family came over and we had a lot of fun.  Good Country Music by Steve Hale.  Note the new neon spoon straws!
Not every event is a Home Run.  Should have had the camera last week.  Did $17,000 in one day at the Riverfest!
My daughter in law Lisa is a real expert!

These pictures taken at Riverfest on the Ohio River in Cincinnati OH . These are college kids from the University of Kentucky Baptist Student Union.  They are a volunteer group that does this event for us every year.  I think there were 28 of them this year.  We had 5 locations and ran 10 machines.  No the old guy isn't me!  He is H.K. Kingkade, the Director of the BSU.

The kids come up and work real hard, stay overnight with us and then go to Paramount's Kings Island the next day.  Great group of kid's.

The pictures below were taken at MiddFest In Middletown OH.  Our last event of the year.  Beautiful weather and very profitable.
